Mr. “Nasty” Nas Escobar recently released the music video for his latest and well-received single “Daughters” (Download HERE), which was produced by No I.D.. The song, of course, was inspired by the incident of his daughter, Destiny Jones, instagramming a bowl of condoms next to her bed as well as her instragramming her new white Benz, which she named “Cocaine”. (Sidenote: I have a slight fear of having a daughter). Nasir enlists Chris Robinson to provide a visual of a father’s struggle with raising a daughter. The video, which features Nas’s actual daughter, is shot through her eyes (POV) from her as a baby up to now as a teen. Robinson does a very good job at providing a fitting visual to the record. Check it out below:
“Daughters” (Download HERE) will appear on Nas’s 10th album, ‘Life is Good’, is set to drop on Def Jam on July 17, be on the lookout for that.
