Designer menswear label and store Ontfront was to us, the most interesting booth at the HTNK onedayshop Indigo edition area where lots of really different brands were based. During our visit at Modefabriek we talked to Creative Director Tomas Overtoom who explained to us, through a picture of a ZaZou, the vision of Ontfront.
“The ZaZous were an infamous subculture in France during the second world war. The movement represent everything that OntFront stands for which is style, individuality, originality and creativity.” - Tomas
What really stood out when we took a look at the collection was the Ontfront Wing Tip Boot. The boot is designed by Liza Koifman, director/designer of Ontfront. The boot is made of nappa leather, which is a full grain type of leather. It’s handwoven and the inside of the boot is made of pigskin. The reason Ontfront made this boot is because they wanted to create a shoe that is both decent and street. The boot will only be available in-stores at Ontfront or online on their Webshop from the end of August for 195 euro’s. Have a detailed look at the boot below!
