As most of you know, Atlanta Got Sole was in Vegas last week for the MAGIC convention which was going down August 20th until August 23th. This post will not contain too many words, just pictures. The pictures show you the vibe at MAGIC Las Vegas this Summer. Enjoy!

Modefabriek 2012: Fab. accessories Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection

Fab. is an Amsterdam based brand that makes accessories out of leather. The current collection, the one that Fab. presented during Modefabriek, consists of bags, wallets, clutches, jackets, iPhone cases, shoes and sunglasses. All designs of the brand are produced straight out of the heart from the designer, Fabienne Chapot. The designs that were presented at Modefabriek are feminine, colorful and no nonsense. Every product features a leather heart. This heart symbolizes a lucky wish for those who receive it.

The 2013 collection of Fab. is mostly colorful, you can find every accessory in yellow, green, orange, pink, blue, purple and so on! Cheerful is the best word to describe this collection. Retailers not only had the opportunity to take a look at the Autumn/Winter 2013 lookbook, they also had the opportunity to purchase items at the Fab. booth during Modefabriek.

Fab. is sold in over 15 countries. The brand is everywhere, from New York to Japan and from Portugal to Finland. To get an impression of all the accessories the brand designs, you can take a look at the showroom in Amsterdam.

Modefabriek 2012: Herschel Supply Co. Spring 2013 Collection

On the first day of Modefabriek we didn’t even notice the booth of Herschel Supply Co. in the BLUEPRINT area. The second day we bumped into these guys by chance and we didn’t regret it at all. Herschel quickly became one of our favorite booths at Modefabriek. We got a chance to talk to Delano and he told us about the Spring 2013 collection.

The Spring 2013 collection will consist of the classic models like Heritage, Little America and Pop Quiz in different color ways. What’s new in the Herschel collection will be the Bad Hills Workshop line. The materials of these products are different than the materials on the classic products. The bird printed backpack featured in the collection is specially made out of a combination of cotton and nylon/polyester to make the bird print stand out more and give a birdlife vibe to it. Take a look at the bags of Herschel below and of course in the gallery. This collection is available in January in Herschel Supply Co. stores around the world.

Modefabriek 2012: Ontfront Wing Tip Boot

Designer menswear label and store Ontfront was to us, the most interesting booth at the HTNK onedayshop Indigo edition area where lots of really different brands were based. During our visit at Modefabriek we talked to Creative Director Tomas Overtoom who explained to us, through a picture of a ZaZou, the vision of Ontfront.

“The ZaZous were an infamous subculture in France during the second world war. The movement represent everything that OntFront stands for which is style, individuality, originality and creativity.” - Tomas

What really stood out when we took a look at the collection was the Ontfront Wing Tip Boot. The boot is designed by Liza Koifman, director/designer of Ontfront. The boot is made of nappa leather, which is a full grain type of leather. It’s handwoven and the inside of the boot is made of pigskin. The reason Ontfront made this boot is because they wanted to create a shoe that is both decent and street. The boot will only be available in-stores at Ontfront or online on their Webshop from the end of August for 195 euro’s. Have a detailed look at the boot below!

OntFront is a designer menswear label & store founded in 2008. Their Amsterdam based store is multi-labeled and carries a fine selection of brands to envision what they believe in; a new generation of men, pushing the revival of classic styles. Tailored and streetwise.

Modefabriek 2012: Gravis Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

Gravis had a nice booth at Modefabriek, they displayed their latest collection sneakers and accessories. Gravis is known to design and produce shoes for snowboarders, skateboarders and surfers. Of course the booth showed the latest classic models of Gravis such as the Quarters and the Slymz, but what really stood out for us was the kind of worker wear sneaker. Not only did they show sneakers, they also featured backpacks in their 2013 collection such as the Radius and Metro models. All in all it’s a nice collection that Gravis has in store for as with particularly lots of different shades of brown.

Modefabriek 2012 Day 2: Converse, Jacky Luxury, Shabbies Amsterdam

The second day of Modefabriek was again, more exploring. This time we took a look at the footwear collections of Converse, Jacky Luxury, Shabbies Amsterdam, Sebago, Pastry, Filling Pieces and Van Gils. We also talked to Ontfront which is an amazing store based in Amsterdam. More on Ontfront will feature later this week. We will also feature the latest Herschel collection which you already saw a sneak peek of on Twitter page.

Modefabriek 2012 Day 1: Wemoto, Ontour, BlueBlood

This was Atlanta Got Sole’s first time at Modefabriek and we can honestly say that we enjoyed every bit of it. Talking to brands, seeing their latest collection and meeting new people. Day 1 of Modefabriek was kind of exploring the entire location, walking around and making lots of pictures.

The most interesting area to us was the BLUEPRINT area. This area is an unpolished platform that brings together insiders capable of devising innovative new designs for denim and contemporary streetwear by reinventing our favourite wardrobe classics, constructing a new, relevant authenticity and re-injecting a love of craftsmanship and detail into the process.

We managed to stop by a couple of brands such as Wemoto, Ontour and BlueBlood to capture the latest collection which should drop in 2013. Take a look at the pictures below!

AGS Coverage of The Pines NC Opening

In between the A3C festival going on in Atlanta, AGS had a chance to travel to Greensboro, North Carolina for the opening of The Pines. The flagship boutique for clothing company LiKuid Nation and their soon to be released brand, The Dropouts. Having had the opportunity to visit a number of boutiques in varying states The Pines is aesthetically a standout shop. Drawing into the theme of its namesake The Pines visual make up delivers a contrast of a clean simple retail space combined with a natural nature feel that greets you upon walking within. This Space is owned by Greensboro native Cam Bennerman, alongside a strong operating staff running the daily ops.

The Pines is geared to rethink the retail experience that many are accustomed to. The transferable space can host various events, art openings, listening sessions, and small gatherings. It also serves as the showroom and office space for the LiKuid Nation company and the in house brand The Dropouts. There are no limits on the possibilities within The Pines concept. Already rallying a wave of support with the pre-release of The Dropouts Fall/Winter line. The Pines look to be on their way with this out of the box retail experience. We at AGS wish the whole staff at The Pines the best of luck with their endeavors and a huge appreciation for the hospitality shown while in the Greensboro area.

We at Atlanta Got Sole have been waiting anxiously for the grand opening of a good friend and fellow sneaker collector’s boutique in Buckhead. The grand opening at Epitome 252 Pharr Road NE, Atlanta, GA was everything we expected and more; a meticulous display of quality and understanding of the Atlanta shoe market. Epitome fills a hole in our shopping needs as a city – great brands such as Asics, Nike, Sebago, Bed Stu, Jeffrey Campbell and many more bands can be found there.

Walking in, the corner retail space is maximized by high ceilings, white floors, built in seating, and tall display areas. I’m a big fan of creating a shopping “experience” by interior design, and Epitome’s interior makes me want to spend….

Pac Div & N.E.R.D. Performance Footage
